Diploma in Medicine from KU Leuven (2004-2011), undertook doctoral research (2011-2015), completed specialisations in urology (UZ Leuven/AZ Groeninge) and became a Fellow of the European Board of Urology in 2019.

Dr. Jan Franken works as a urologist at Mediport Cadix, as well as at various centres within the ZAS network. Although he can assist you with all urological problems, he specialises particularly in bladder pathology, such as urinary incontinence, bladder prolapse, neuro-urological problems, pain complaints and bladder cancer. He has developed expertise and received further training in robot-assisted surgery, urological prosthetic surgery, neuromodulation and pelvic floor surgery.
