He has extensive experience as a team doctor with several Premier League football clubs, including KV Kortrijk, Zulte Waregem and Cercle Brugge, as well as with the pro tour cycling team Lotto Soudal. He is currently working as head doctor for the NSN Cycling Team.
Dr. Maarten Meirhaeghe is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a particular affinity for sports medicine. He is currently the chief medical officer for the NSN Cycling Team. Dr. Meirhaeghe has specific expertise in the diagnosis, ultrasound, and treatment of (sports) injuries, including ESWT treatments and ultrasound-guided infiltrations such as PRP and hyaluronic acid.
