During her training (pneumology), she spent 3 months at the Royal Brompton Hospital in the department of interstitial lung diseases (ILD). This is the largest specialist hospital for lungs and heart in the United Kingdom. Dr. Mayra Parra Pérez worked as a lung specialist in Cádiz and Cuenca (Spain) and moved to the Netherlands in 2018. She lived in the Netherlands for 4 years and learned Dutch.
